Scott Wolfson began his professional career as an assignment desk editor in the local Miami-Fort Lauderdale market where he worked for the FOX News affiliate WSVN and later the ABC News affiliate, WPLG. After three years of working in local news, he was hired at CNN. While at CNN, Scott worked many different roles, both in editorial and technical capacities. Known as the "jack of all trades" some of his past jobs included: field producer, assignment desk editor, photojournalist, videotape editor, and sound technician.
LIVE FROM FSS
In 2013, Scott took the entrepreneurial step in opening his own studio, Florida Sun Studios. Scott's vison was to make FSS the studio all the networks and their guests turned to for live news coverage and remote interviews. FSS quickly became the go-to studio in South Florida. Whether you were an A-list celebrity, athlete, news analyst, commentator, or everyday newsmaker, you wanted to go "LIVE FROM FSS!"
Media Training
Scott conducts media training for spokespersons, subject-matter-experts, and C-suite executives who are regularly booked for media interviews and from his studio on CNN, FOX News, MSNBC, CNBC, Bloomberg TV, ESPN, i24 News, News Nation, ABC, CBS, and NBC. The coaching sessions are tailored to each client's specfic needs and simulate real-life media interviews. All aspects of media training are covered including: preparing for an interview, crafting unique story angles, speaking in sound bites, how to handle "curveball" questions, reading off of teleprompter, setting up your own Skype live shot, and most importantly, staying on message!
When COVID-19 hit in the Spring of 2020, the cable and network news stations transitioned to a Skype and Cisco Webex interview format, opting for their guests to stay safe at home and not risk catching the virus traveling to studios. Seeing the paradigm shift in the news business, Scott quickly transitioned Florida Sun Studios into a fully mobile production studio. Equipped with portable bonded cellular Live U units, FSS continued to broadcast guest live shots, breaking news, and entire show productions without missing a beat!
